Pinegrove United Church is a charitable organization, run by many kinds of volunteers.
As our mission statement says, we aim to reach out to others with God’s love.
SOME OF OUR OUT REACH ACTIVITIES:
– The Mitten Tree (knitting dozens of mitts and touques for school children who are without).
– School Milk Fund. Donations provide milk for needy school children in Thunder Bay
-Rural Cupboard Food Bank. Collect and distribute food for the rural community
– Finnish Pancake Breakfast, Christmas Bazaar and Green Thumb Tea that bring the community together.
– “Cafe del Soul” Our free rural lunch program
– We offer our church building as a meeting place for local groups who need it.
When you contribute to these outreach projects you are lending a hand at some of our many volunteer initiatives, like Cafe del Soul, our local Food Cupboard group, setting up for one of our events, etc. Feel free to give us call or send us an email, and we’ll be happy to see what opportunity makes the best match for your time and skills!
